Germany - China Standards Information Portal

DIN sees its work with the Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China (SAC) as having a high priority. The goal of this work is to enhance the role of and increase Chinese interest in German standardization.

To this end, two SAC staff members were sent to DIN in November 2014 for a six-week-long visit to learn more about how DIN functions. Mr Ren Hongyuan and Mr Han Aihong - both of whom have been active in agricultural and food standardization for many years - were chosen to come to Germany.

DIN's Chinese visitors learned more about German standards work and DIN's work procedures. They also gained an insight into standardization in Germany as a whole during many meetings and discussions both within and outside DIN. Both sides enjoyed the positive atmosphere of these discussions and expressed the common desire to strengthen economic ties between China and Germany.
